Join Indigo Trails for a tranquil, truly unique yoga experience surrounded by nature, fresh air, and the farm’s majestic herd of healing horses. Offered Sunday mornings in the summer months, yoga at Indigo Trails is the ideal place to escape and spend some relaxing time outdoors breathing in the fresh air and taking in the serene, gently rolling landscape of the Sugar River Valley. Classes will be held either in the old barn or outside in the fields under the oak trees with horses grazing nearby.

Join Indigo Trails for a tranquil, truly unique yoga experience surrounded by nature, fresh air, and the farm’s majestic herd of healing horses. Offered Sunday mornings in the summer months, yoga at Indigo Trails is the ideal place to escape and spend some relaxing time outdoors breathing in the fresh air and taking in the serene, gently rolling landscape of the Sugar River Valley. Classes will be held either in the old barn or outside in the fields under the oak trees with horses grazing nearby. Located directly next to the Military Ridge Trail you can walk, bike, or run before or after class and even head down to the Riley Tavern (3 miles west) for Sunday brunch afterwards. You are sure to come away with a feeling of peaceful relaxation and renewed energy. All levels welcome. Ages 16 and up. Yoga mats, straps, blocks, and blankets provided or you may bring your own.

MEET TINA ~ Tina attended yoga teacher training with Inner Fire Yoga after doing yoga for 14 years. Her love and interest in yoga has lead her to work with teachers such as Sean Corn, Shiva Rea, Saul David Raye, Shakta Kaur, Desiree Rumbaugh, Mandy Ingber, Max Strom and Rolf Gates. Tina has also participated in many yoga journal conferences and three yoga retreats taking her to Present Moment Retreat in Trocones, Mexico, Maya Tulum in Tulum, Mexico and Samasati Yoga & Wellness Retreat in Costa Rica. Having co-owned an Aveda Lifestyle salon and spa for over 20 years, she shares her knowledge of the Chakras and incorporates the Aveda Chakra oils and sprays into her yoga classes. Basic knowledge shared of each chakra along with affirmations will give you personal insight during your yoga class. Tina believes that yoga is for everyone and everybody. She even inspired her mother to attend a yoga class while she was on oxygen in end stage cancer. If her mother can find the courage to come to a class, so can you!

 

MEET JESSICA- Jessica joined our barn family August of 2020 when she and her daughter started helping with evening chores. The horses have sure appreciated Jessica’s caring and calm demeanor and now you can too! Jessica’s motto with her business Smell the Flowers Yoga, LLC is to “Slow Down, Enjoy Life”, but it took her a while to walk this path. Jessica started practicing fast, exercise yoga to help with weight loss after discovering she had hypothyroidism and other hormone imbalances. In 2016 chronic pain and fatigue led her to try slower, more introspective Yin classes. Her experience with Yin yoga was so life changing that after just a few years she enrolled in the Yin yoga teacher training program at Yoga4 Wellness Center with Sandra Carden in 2018. She started teaching Yin yoga at First Congregational UCC and later at Princeton Club in 2019. In 2019-2020 Jessica completed 200 hr yoga teacher training through Perennial Wisdom Yoga School with Megan Grace and Keith Borden. She has completed several online trainings with Kristine Weber and Subtle® Yoga including: 40 hr Subtle Yoga Revolution Online Yoga Teacher Training, Science of Slow, and Yoga and Neuroscience Connection. Jessica is a Franklin Method® Fascia Trainer for the Low Back and she is currently enrolled in 300 hr advanced yoga teacher training through My Vinyasa Practice. She is also working on her 150 hr Certificate in Embodied Yoga Therapeutics Foundations. In Jessica’s classes, she strives to help you slow down, get quiet, and turn inward to hear the whispers of your body and soul. Every body is unique and she believes that finding comfort and connection with your body is essential for peace, self-love, physical, and emotional wellbeing. Jessica uses a combination of techniques learned through her explorations of yoga, qigong, fascia, and embodiment practices to create a variety of unique classes.
