Date(s) - June 22, 2020 to July 24, 2020
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Your child will gather keen insight into his or herself through individual and group activities around horses, games, stories and crafts. He or she will also gather deeper wisdom in her horse knowledge as we explore caring for the animals at the farm, feeding, grooming, bathing, braiding and (hopefully – weather dependent) painting with them!
Wisdom is also the name of a fictional horse your child will get to know through the captivating pages of a story called Eponalisa, a coming of age story that mixes reality with fantasy, magic, and fairy tale. A healthy mix of energizing activities sprinkled with quiet time for reflection and learning, Walking with Wisdom Summer Camp will be as thoughtful as it is fun!
This summer camp is for youth ages 8-11 (subject to change depending on interest) who love spending time outdoors, don’t mind getting a little dirty, and have a natural curiosity for learning. We will work with horses in many capacities though horse experience is not necessary. This is not a riding camp. All horse activities will take place from the ground. Please let your child know this prior to camp.
Summer camps this year will be led by Nelle. She has years of experience in education both in the classroom and outdoors, is a three year member of the Indigo Trails team, and has a life long love of horses.
You will see that to register we are not requiring a deposit at this time. We will collect payments at the first day of camp.
